• 'Nachthell' is a book about the growing and excessive illumination of the night sky – light pollution. This disrupts ecosystems and has adverse health effects for many. The book serves to sensitise and enlighten the reader of this unique pollution. The content is based on current scientific essays which attempt to inform using the mediums of text and photo in equal measure. The photos were taken by: William Eckersley williameckersley.com, James Reeve jamesreeve.com, Misha de Ridder mishaderidder.com, Michael Wolf photomichaelwolf.com and Romain Laurent romain-laurent.com (name in order of appearance). The book was created as my bachelor project in 2014 for the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg.
